SYNOPSIS

The production Eleven Warriors traces the history of martial arts – from the primal struggles for survival of early humans, when the first techniques of hand-to-hand combat and weapon use were formed, through the development of training methods designed to strengthen the body and cultivate character. In modern times martial arts have acquired a new form: a vivid artistic performance that blends traditional elements with contemporary stagecraft, embodying the philosophy, discipline, aesthetic values, and spectacle of Eastern culture.

Chapter I: Weapons
The story of weapons as instruments of defense and attack, their evolution shaped by military conflicts and technological progress. Over time new techniques and tactics of weapon use emerged, continually refined to meet the demands of the age.

Chapter II: Spirit
This chapter highlights the inner light of the human being – resilience and the passion to overcome adversity through martial art.

Chapter III:
Mastery A portrait of epochs and the heroic deeds of martial masters.

Chapter IV: Silence
An exploration of the importance of inner calm in achieving harmony of movement – from meditation to daily rituals such as sweeping the floor or walking through autumn leaves.

Chapter V: Celebration
Images of release from inner constraints – a symbol of overcoming limitations through the practice of kung fu. The chapter features a traditional Chinese sleeve dance, representing both strength and grace.

Epilogue: Warriors
Only by enduring trials does one become a true warrior. Martial arts are not merely technique but a philosophy of resilience and life itself.

The concert program 11 Warriors reveals the core values of Chinese culture through the dynamic expressiveness of kung fu, while showcasing the artistic beauty of local traditions. The choreography integrates various forms of Chinese martial arts. The program unfolds across five acts – Weapons, Spirit, Mastery, Silence, and Celebration – each reflecting a fundamental element of martial artistry.

The Long Yun Troupe, founded on 20 October 2006, was brought together when martial arts megastar Jackie Chan personally selected eleven talented, creative, and experienced young performers from among millions of applicants.
