A ballet tour

The Mariinsky Ballet will be performing at the Tianjin Grand Theatre. Chinese audiences will have the opportunity to see two productions – Rodion Shchedrin’s Anna Karenina with choreography by Alexei Ratmansky and Pyotr Tchaikovsky’s Swan Lake with choreography by Marius Petipa and Lev Ivanov. The tour opens with Ulyana Lopatkina, Andrei Yermakov and Viktor Baranov in the lead roles in Anna Karenina. This ballet will be performed again on 1 October featuring Yekaterina Kondaurova, Yuri Smekalov and Islom Baimuradov.

3, 4 and 5 October will see performances of Swan Lake with Oxana Skorik and Timur Askerov (3 October), Ulyana Lopatkina and Yevgeny Ivanchenko (4 October) and Yekaterina Kondaurova and Danila Korsuntsev (5 October). For details of the tour, please go to: www.tjgtheatre.org
