The Acrobatic Drama Swan follows the growth journey of acrobat Yu Meng, intertwining the creative process of "ballet on shoulders" and the birth of the world's first acrobatic drama Swan Lake. By drawing on the dramatic context of the classic ballet Swan Lake, the production creates a dual narrative space of "reality" and "fantasy." Through the innovative fusion of various art forms, it artistically portrays the authentic growth experiences of Chinese acrobats and their perseverance and resilience in pursuing their dreams.
The production has received funding from National Arts Fund and has been honored with the Guangdong Lu Xun Literary and Art Award, the National Acrobatic Exhibition Outstanding Repertoire Award, and the Guangdong Art Festival Award for Large-Scale Stage Works. In 2023, it successfully embarked on a tour in Russia, where it was hailed by the leadership of the Chinese Embassy in Russia as "an exceptional example of innovative integration of Chinese and Western arts." The performances were met with enthusiastic reception from Russian audiences, with tickets selling out for multiple shows.
