Piano Concerto No. 4 in G major, Op. 58
Elizaveta Ukrainskaya studied under the famed St Petersburg teachers Vera Ovcharova and Lyubov Rudova, and next year she will graduate from the conservatory under Professor Alexander Sandler. She is well known to St Petersburg audiences as a harmonious pianist, combining in her performance technical brilliance and artistic charm. She will be performing Mozart’s dramatic Concerto No 24, and there is no doubt that she will present it with her inherent subtlety and perfectionism. Timofey Dolya, a pupil of Andrei Pisarev, is a skilful pianist, and has participated on numerous occasions in master-classes and concert programmes of the House of Music. He will be performing Beethoven’s luminous Fourth Concerto. The contrasts between these great Viennese classics will define the dramaturgy of this concert as contrasts between day and night, dark and radiant, moonlight and sunlight.
