Angelin Preljocaj is the brightest star in the galaxy of choreographers who emerged in the 1980s in France. He heads the Centre Chorégraphique National d’Aix-en-Provence and stages productions at the Opéra de Paris, the Berliner Staatsoper, the Teatro alla Scala and New York City Ballet.
Angelin Preljocaj has become a key figure in the Year of France in Russia, having presented his new production, Creation, in September 2010 with the Bolshoi Theatre. Preljocaj will be bringing his versions of legendary ballet productions by Diaghilev’s company to St Petersburg – Les Noces and Le Sacre du printemps.
