On-line broadcasts of concerts on the Mariinsky Theatre website on 3 and 6 October

During the first week in October the Mariinsky Theatre’s media broadcasting department will be transmitting two concerts from the Concert Hall live on-line.

The concert on 3 October features a programme of popular scenes from operas by Giuseppe Verdi performed by soloists Vladimir Galouzine, Nataliya Tymchenko, Khachatur Badalyan, Zlata Bulycheva, Yekaterina Goncharova and Edem Umerov among others with the Mariinsky Theatre Chorus and Symphony Orchestra under the baton of Andrei Petrenko.

Three years ago on 1 October 2009 on International Music Day the inauguration of the organ at the Concert Hall of the Mariinsky Theatre took place. This season the next series of organ concerts begins on 6 October. Renowned organist and Mariinsky Theatre organ master Oleg Kinyaev will be performing works by Felix Mendelssohn.
