![]() | Critics have praised the “strong stage presence” and “silent landings and convincing spins” of young dancer Timur Askerov, who began his stage career at the Mariinsky Theatre in the middle of last season. His first major role in a classical ballet was that of Prince Siegfried in Swan Lake by Pyotr Tchaikovsky (choreography by Marius Petipa and Lev Ivanov), followed by a debut as Count Albrecht in Adolphe Adam’s Giselle. His repertoire also features contemporary choreography, such as the role of José in Alberto Alonso’s Carmen-Suite and Benjamin Millepied’s ballet Without. Timur Askerov was recently named in the category “Rising Star” by Ballet magazine (2012). The performance begins at 20:00. |
