Born in Leningrad. Graduated from the Rimsky-Korsakov School of Music and subsequently with distinction from the St Petersburg State Rimsky-Korsakov Conservatoire.

The singer’s repertoire also includes mezzo-soprano roles in the cantata and oratorio genres such as Johann Sebastian Bach’s Johannes-Passion, Matthäus-Passion, Magnificat and High Mass in B Minor, Luciano Berio’s El mar – la mar, Ludwig van Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony and Fantasia in С Minor for Piano, Chorus and Orchestra, Giuseppe Verdi’s Requiem, Antonio Vivaldi’s Gloria and Stabat Mater, Handel’s The Messiah, Duruflé’s Requiem, Liszt’s Dante Symphony, Mahler’s Second Symphony and Das Lied von der Erde, Mendelssohn’s Elijah, Mozart’s Requiem and Mass in B Flat, Respighi’s Il tramonto, Sibelius’ Arioso, Opus 3, Pergolesi’s Stabat Mater, Prokofiev’s Alexander Nevsky and Ivan the Terrible, Rachmaninoff’s All-Night Vespers and Liturgy, Igor Stravinsky’s Les Noces, Slonimsky’s Cossack Songs and A Voice from the Chorus and Schubert’s Mass in G Major among other works.

Nadezhda Khadzheva is an artist with the Mariinsky Chorus, with which she has performed the following roles: the Angel (La Damnation de Faust), Wet Nurse (Prince Igor), the Heavenly Voice and the Page (Parsifal), Anina (La traviata), a Woman (Boris Godunov), a Geisha (Turandot), the Shepherd (Tosca), a Jester (Sadko), the Mother (The Brothers Karamazov), a Woman (Semyon Kotko) and a Servant (Elektra).
Nadezhda Khadzheva has taken part in concert programmes of the contemporary music festivals From the Avant-Garde to the Present Day, Musical Spring, Sergei Oskolkov and His Friends, and The End of Time among others run by the St Petersburg Union of Composers.
