Yegor Chubakov

• Prize-winner at the Lidia Abramova Bella voce International Student Vocalists’ Competition (Moscow, 2012, 1st prize)
• rize-winner at the All-Russian Review Competition of Graduate Vocalists of Higher Institutes of Music (St Petersburg, 2013, 2nd prize)

Yegor Chubakov graduated from the Voronezh State Academy of Arts in 2013 (class of Professor Mikhail Podkopaev). In the 2013–2014 season he worked at the Voronezh Opera and Ballet Theatre where he performed the roles of Prince Orlofsky (Die Fledermaus) and Yeletsky (The Queen of Spades).

Since 2014 he has been a soloist with the St. Petersburg Chamber Opera. There he performs the roles of Enrico (Lucia di Lammermoor), Orlofsky (Die Fledermaus), Onegin (Eugene Onegin), Silvio (I pagliacci), Marcello (La Bohème), Valentin (Faust), Ferdinand (Betrothal in a Monastery), Figaro (Il barbiere di Siviglia) and Junius (The Rape of Lucretia).

Yegor made his Mariinsky Theatre debut as Pelléas in Pelléas et Mélisande by Claude Debussy in the fall of 2019.
