Dmitri Hvorostovsky would have been fifty-eight years old today. The name of this truly outstanding baritone, who sadly died almost three years ago, is being celebrated throughout the world, in part thanks to his family and friends.
On 26 October at 19.00 at the Mariinsky II there will be an evening in memory of the singer featuring Hibla Gerzmava, Ildar Abdrazakov, Ekaterina Semenchuk, Aigul Khismatullina, Vladislav Kupriyanov and the Mariinsky Orchestra. The concert will be conducted by maestro Valery Gergiev, who enjoyed a warm artistic partnership with the singer.
The event has been organised in collaboration with the Dmitri Hvorostovsky Foundation for the Promotion of the Arts.
