Giuseppe Verdi’s Requiem Will Be Performed in Memory of Kemerovo Tragedy Victims

Giuseppe Verdi’s Requiem will be performed by soloists Tatiana Serjan (soprano), Olga Borodina (mezzo soprano), Otar Jorjikia (tenor), Stanislav Trofimov (bass), the Mariinsky Chorus and the Mariinsky Orchestra at the Concert Hall of the Mariinsky Theatre at 8 pm on 28 March. The orchestra will be conducted by Valery Gergiev. The concert is dedicated to the memory of the Kemerovo tragedy victims.

The previously announced 28 March performance of Édouard Deldevez, Ludwig Minkus and Riccardo Drigo’s ballet Paquita will be replaced by Adolphe Adam’s ballet Giselle at historic stage of the Mariinsky Theatre. The performance starts at 7 pm.

The Mariinsky Theatre extends its sincere condolences to the families and friends of the victims.
