Valery Gergiev and the Munich Philharmonic to Perform in Germany and Austria

From March 15 to March 17 Valery Gergiev will once again conduct the Munich Philharmonic during the сoncerts in Germany and Austria. The German orchestra under the baton of the maestro will perform twice at its home venue, Philharmonie Gasteig (March 15 at 8 p.m, March 17 at 7 p.m), and the Großer Saal of the Musikverein Wien (March 16 at 7.30 p.m). The programme features Ludwig van Beethoven’s Symphony No. 7 and Igor Stravinsky’s Le sacre du printemps and Funeral Song.

In the run-up to Valery Gergiev’s concerts at the Philharmonie Gasteig, he is going to hold open rehearsals with  the Munich Philharmonic, which can be accessed by audiences (March 14 and March 15).

As soon as Valery Gergiev’s series of concerts with the Munich Philharmonic will conclude, he will go on a concert tour with the Mariinsky Orchestra. From March 19 to March 25 the musicians will perform in Switzerland, Germany, Czech Republic and France.
