Diana Vishneva has received the prestigious Dance Magazine Award

On 4 December New York hosted the annual awards ceremony of Dance Magazine, one of the most influential dance publications. One of the award-recipients this year was Mariinsky Theatre prima ballerina Diana Vishneva. From 2005 to 2017 the ballerina was a guest soloist with American Ballet Theatre, which allowed her to enrich her repertoire with works by many outstanding choreographers. "My American period gave me a different look at dance and my place in it," says Diana, "it helped me develop in modern dance and create three solo programmes. That's why this award from Dance Magazine is a recognition of everything that has been achieved over these thirteen years for me."

Dance Magazine is a long-established and highly respected publication about ballet and contemporary dance in America.
