On 23 November soloists of the Academy of Young Opera Singers directed by Larisa Gergieva will be appearing at London's Goldsmiths' Hall (Great Britain) as part of a traditional gala.
The concert will feature Evelina Agabalaeva (mezzo-soprano), Yaroslav Petryanik (baritone) and Yulia Suleimanova (soprano). The piano accompaniment will be performed by Elena Fedorenko. The programme includes songs, romances and scenes from operas by Russian, Italian and French composers.
Since 1997, when the first gala took place in London, over forty soloists from the Academy of Young Opera Singers have taken part in fourteen gala evenings, many of them now widely-known today as first-class opera singers. Among them are Ekaterina Semenchuk, Olga Trifonova, Ildar Abdrazakov, Alexei Markov, Yevgeny Nikitin and Vladislav Sulimsky.
