Swan Lake at the Kennedy Center

From 28 January to 2 February the Mariinsky Ballet will present seven performances of Swan Lake at the Kennedy Center in Washington together with the Kennedy Center Opera House Orchestra.

Each year the Center for the Performing Arts, which opened in 1971, hosts thousands of performances of ballets, operas, plays, musicals, classical, jazz and folk music and multimedia presentations. The Kennedy Center continues to embody the mission of its founders to introduce American audiences to the work of the world’s greatest artists and performers. The Mariinsky Theatre is a frequent guest at this prestigious venue in Washington.

During the tour, the lead roles in the performances of Swan Lake will be danced by Alina Somova and Vladimir Shklyarov (28 and 31 January at 19:30, 2 February at 13:30), Anastasia Kolegova and Maxim Zyuzin (29 January at 19:30, 1 February at 13:30) and Olga Esina and Timur Askerov (30 January and 1 February at 19:30).
