From 15 to 17 November the Mariinsky Theatre will be on tour in The Hague

As part of The Netherlands-Russia Year of Friendship, the Nederlands Dans Theater (NDT) has invited the Mariinsky Ballet and Orchestra to perform in The Hague, the European capital of modern dance.

At the Lucent Danstheater, the only theatre in The Netherlands built specifically for dance performances, on 15 November the dancers from St Petersburg will perform the ballet The Little Humpbacked Horse. The lead roles will be performed by Alina Somova (the Tsar Maiden), Vladimir Shklyarov (Ivan the Fool), Vladislav Shumakov (the Little Humpbacked Horse), Anastasia Petushkova (the Mare and the Queen of the Sea) and Dmitry Pykhachov (the Tsar). Valery Gergiev will be conducting.
The tour programme will continue with Giselle featuring Diana Vishneva and Konstantin Zverev (16 November) and Maria Shirinkina and Vladimir Shklyarov (17 November).
