The Mariinsky Ballet and Orchestra are to present a programme of one-act ballets at the Royal Opera House in Muscat, the capital of the Sultanate of Oman. The first part of the programme includes one of last season’s premieres – Alexei Ratmansky’s ballet Concerto DSCH set to Dmitry Shostakovich’s Second Piano Concerto. The piano solo will be performed by Vladimir Rumyantsev and the lead roles performed by Svetlana Ivanova and Andrei Yermakov (31 October and 2 November) and Konstantin Zverev (1 November). The second part of the programme opens with Michel Fokine’s Le Spectre de la rose with Viktoria Krasnokutskaya and Kimin Kim (31 October and 2 November) and Filipp Stepin (1 November). Anastasia Kolegova will dance in Fokine’s acclaimed miniature The Dying Swan. Daria Pavlenko, Nadezhda Batoeva, Nadezhda Gonchar and Alisa Sodoleva will perform Pas de Quatre. The third part of the evening will feature “Paquita” Grand Pas. The lead roles will be performed by Anastasia Kolegova and Danila Korsuntsev (31 October and 2 November) and Andrei Yermakov (1 November). |
