Claudia Solti’s production of Benjamin Britten’s opera A Midsummer Night’s Dream at the Concert Hall was named “Best Opera.” It was stated at the awards ceremony that this production is the “most ethereal in the theatre’s repertoire” not just because much of the action takes place in the air but also thanks to the lightness and refinement of the directing. The acclaim from the St Petersburg Theatre Society was all the more welcome as the production at the Concert Hall marked Claudia Solti’s debut as an opera director. Another Golden Sofit went to Olga Trifonova as  “Best Opera Performer” for the role of Tytania in this production.

Our congratulations to the production team, Olga Trifonova and the other performers on their well-earned success!
