Mirza Askerov was born in 1959. Honoured Cultural Worker of Russia, Honoured Artist of the All-Russian Society of Music, Candidate of Teaching Science and Lecturer. In 1983 he graduated from the Astrakhan State Conservatoire having specialised as a choral conductor and choral discipline teacher. Has worked with the Academic Chorus of the Moscow State Lomonosov University since September 1990.
