Video Designer
Kira Petrova is a graduate of the production faculty of
the St Petersburg Academy of Theatre Art, where she specialised as
a Stage Design Technician. She gained practical experience working
in the set workshops of the Artistic Production Union and the Mariinsky
Theatre. She has worked on productions of the Flea (Theatre of Musical Comedy), Cinderella (St Petersburg Conservatoire Opera and Ballet Theatre), the Nutcracker (Bolshoi Theatre), Die Zauberflöte (Mariinsky Theatre) and Der Fliegende Holländer
(Mariinsky Theatre). She is currently an assistant to the Stage
Production Manager of the Lensoviet Theatre. As a design technician she
has worked on productions of the Government Inspector, the Reserve, the Last Victim and Chekhov. Vaudeville. As an assistant designer to Pavel Kaplevich she worked on the sets for Mikhail Boyarsky’s gala performance of Mixed Emotions at the Lensoviet Theatre. As a production designer she worked on Of Mice and Men (directed by Bulat Abdrakhmanov), which was premiered in March 2010 in Kokshetau. the Mystery of the Apostle Paul marks Kira Petrova’s debut as a video designer.
