Marina Shakhdinarova was born in Tbilisi. She began her musical education at the age of six as a pianist and transitioned to vocal studies at sixteen. Graduated with top honours from the Vano Sarajishvili Tbilisi State Conservatoire in 2021. Has participated in masterclasses held by Barbara Frittoli, Raina Kabaivanska, Orlin Anastassov, Paolo Arrivabeni and Giacomo Prestia.
During her studies Marina was awarded several prizes, including at the International Competition Giovani Musicisti – Città di Treviso (Italy) and at the Nodar Andguladze Young Singers International Competition (Tbilisi), where she performed Pergolesi’s Stabat Mater as a soloist. Made her operatic debut as Countess Almaviva (Le nozze di Figaro) and soon after has portrayed Mimì (La bohème), establishing her as a promising young soprano.
Her recent and upcoming roles include: Mimì in La bohème (Sofia Opera, 2023; Teatro Carcano, Milan, 2024; Armenian National Opera, Yerevan, 2025), Micaëla in Carmen (Opera Plovdiv, Bulgaria, 2024) and Nedda in Pagliacci (Teatro Comunale Pavarotti–Freni, Modena, and Sofia Opera, 2025). She has also performed a solo part in Mozart’s Requiem at the Bulgaria Hall in Sofia (2024).
Currently Marina Shakhdinarova is expanding her professional career under new artistic representation and continues to grow as a lyrical soprano with a vibrant, expressive voice and an evolving international presence.
