Armenian tenor Hovhannes Ayvazyan graduated from the Yerevan State Komitas Conservatoire (where he studied under Sergei Danielyan) in 2011. In 2008, Ayvazyan won the Republican Gohar Gasparyan Opera Competition. In 2009, he won the Armenian Presidential Prize.
Hovhannes Ayvazyan is a soloist with the Yerevan State Alexander Spendiaryan Opera and Ballet Theatre.
He made his debut at the Mariinsky Theatre in Tosca in 2013 and then sang the part of Manrico in the premiere of the opera Il trovatore.

As a guest soloist, he has performed at the Bolshoi Theatre, the Novaya Opera in Moscow, the Musa Jalil Tatar State Academic Theatre of Opera and Ballet, the National Academic Grand Opera and Ballet Theatre of the Republic of Belarus and others. In 2017, Ayvazyan performed the part of Radamès in the opera Aida at the Arena di Verona Festival.
