• Prize-winner at the VII St Petersburg International Opera Singers’ Competition (2015, 2nd prize)
• Prize-winner at the Elena Obraztsova Foundation’s International Competition José Carreras Grand Prix (Moscow, 2018, 3rd prize)

Roman Arndt graduated from the Omsk Shebalin School of Music and the Rimsky-Korsakov St Petersburg State Conservatory (2014, class of Sergey Nikulshin).

In 2012 he became a soloist with the Zazerkalye Children’s Music Theatre, where he performs lead tenor roles including Rodolfo in La Bohème, Ferrando in Così fan tutte, Vaudemont in Iolanta, Tamino in Die Zauberflöte, Pinkerton in Madama Butterfly and Rinuccio in Gianni Schicchi among others. Since 2013 he has been a guest artist at the Mikhailovsky Theatre.

Has taken part in productions of the festival Opera for All in St Petersburg, including L’elisir d’amore (Nemorino), The Golden Cockerel (Guidon) and Tannhäuser (Walther von der Vogelweide) among others.

At the Mariinsky Theatre, he made his debut as Albert Gregor in the opera Věc Makropulos in 2019.
