Ekaterina Sannikova was born in Ternopil (Ukraine). She graduated from the Rimsky-Korsakov St Petersburg State Conservatory (class of Olga Kondina).
During 2016–17 season she has appeared at the St Petersburg Music Hall Theatre and St Petersburg’s Zazerkalye theatre.
Since 2017 she has been actively collaborating with the Operosa festival in Montenegro, where she performed the roles of Iolanta in Tchaikovsky’s eponymous opera and Michaёla in Carmen.
In September 2017 Ekaterina took part in the opening of a new season at the Opéra de Nice, where she performed Rachmaninoff’s Vocalise under the baton of Fabio Mastrangelo.
She has appeared at the Stars of the White Nights festival, the International Mariinsky Far East Festival in Vladivostok and the International Caucasus Festival The Mariinsky – Vladikavkaz. Has toured with the Mariinsky Orchestra to the USA.
From 2017 to 2021 she was a fellow of the Atkins Young Artists Program at the Mariinsky Theatre.
