Alexei Perevalov


Lighting Designer

After graduating from the Taganrog State Radio Technical University in 1995 he launched his professional career at the Krasnodar Palace of Arts of the "Premiere" Artistic Union initially as a lighting technician, then as a lighting operator, and subsequently as a lighting designer. He is currently Lighting Designer at the Krasnodar Music Theatre and the Yuri Grigorovich Ballet Theatre, which form part of the "Premiere" Artistic Union.
As a lighting designer he has worked on the ballets Le Corsaire, Don Quixote, The Firebird, Pétrouchka, Coppélia, Le Carnaval, Black and White Film, The Journey, Novellas: Just about Love and Historia de un amor, or Parched Tango, the operas La traviata, Cavalleria rusticana and Eugene Onegin and the operetta Der Zigeunerbaron. Productions staged at other theatres include The Stone Flower at the Stanislavsky and Nemirovich-Danchenko Moscow Musical Theatre and the Krasnoyarsk State Opera and Ballet Theatre, Romeo and Juliet at the Kazakh Abai Opera and Ballet Theatre (Almaty), Spartacus and The Legend of Love at the Bashkirian State Opera and Ballet Theatre (Ufa), Spartacus at the State Opera and Ballet Theatre of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia, Yakutsk), Spartacus and Romeo and Juliet at the Liaoning Ballet (Shenyang, China), Spartacus and The Nutcracker at the "Astana Opera" State Opera and Ballet Theatre (Astana) and Andrei Rublev at the Astrakhan State Opera and Ballet Theatre (Astrakhan).
