Tim has previously designed the lighting for the Mariinsky Theatre's production of Elektra, and other opera and dance credits include Ariadne Auf Naxos and Die Fledermaus (Welsh National Opera); The Snowman (Korea, Sadler's Wells, UK tour); Hamlet and Dracula (Northern Ballet Theatre); The Marriage of Figaro, Requiem Ballet and Don Giovanni (Kammeroper Vienna); Carmen Negra (Icelandic Opera); The Lady and the Fool (Birmingham Royal Ballet); Prometheus (Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra); and On The Town (London Symphony Orchestra, Barbican, BBC TV).

His theatre credits include Dirty Dancing (London's West End, Toronto, Hamburg, Utrecht, Berlin, US Tour); Imagine This, Toyer, Cinderella, Bad Girls, Otherwise Engaged, As You Like It, Romeo and Juliet, Of Mice and Men, Sweet Panic (all London's West End); Hamlet (Japan, Sadler's Wells); The Sleeping Beauty (New York, London); Henry IV. Parts I & II (Washington Shakespeare Theatre); The Play What I Wrote and Noises Off (Broadway, West End); as well as numerous productions in prestigious regional theatres across Britain, including Lear and Jonathan Miller's production of The Cherry Orchard (Sheffield Crucible) and Trevor Nunn's production of Cyrano De Bergerac (Chichester Festival Theatre). Tim has also worked extensively with the Royal Shakespeare Company on productions in Stratford, London's West End, Japan and the USA.
