Lilia Yakusheva was born in 1993 in Kursk. Graduated from the Kursk Georgy Sviridov College of Music (piano class of Valery Makarov). She also studied composition. Began to take independent studies in organ from the age of fourteen at the Kursk Roman Catholic Church of the Assumption of the Mother of God. Subsequently graduated with honours from the Tchaikovsky Moscow State Conservatory (organ class of Alexey Parshin).

Prize-winner at the Golden Lyre All-Russian Open Festival and Competition of Organ Music (Fryazino, Moscow Region; 1st prize in 2018, Grand Prix in 2022), the 10th Moscow Leopold Mozart Open Festival and Competition for Young Performers of Early Music (2018; 1st prize), the 4th Moscow Nicolaas Bidloo Young Performing Artists’ Festival (2018; 2nd prize), the 2nd All-Russian Performing Musicians’ Competition A Galaxy of Bach (Korolyov, Moscow Region, 2018; 1st prize), the 6th International Valery Kikta Organ Competition (Kislovodsk, 2018; 3rd prize), the 1st All-Russian Friedrich Joseph Haass Performing Musicians’ Competition Go and Do Good! (Moscow, 2018; 1st prize), the 2nd All-Russian Performing Musicians’ Competition Stairway to Mastery (Moscow, 2021; Grand Prix), the 1st All-Russian Competition of Performers of Etudes and Virtuoso Pieces (Moscow, 2021; Grand Prix) and the International Creative Competition-Festival Andantino (Tallinn, 2022; 1st prize).

Performs in Moscow, St Petersburg, Kursk, Tula, Vladimir, Yessentuki, Kazan, Kislovodsk, Smolensk, Kirov, Chelyabinsk, Ulyanovsk, Vitebsk, Donetsk and other towns and cities – in recital and with ensembles. Has participated in the festival A Musical Tribute to Johann Sebastian Bach (Gnesin Russian Academy of Music), the Moscow International Organ Festival (Moscow Conservatory) and the Frau Organ International Festival (Chelyabinsk) among others. In May 2017 she performed a charitable concert in Gunsbach (France). In 2021 Lilia Yakusheva played at the IХ International Organ Festival Mariinsky. Since then she has regularly presented her programmes at the Concert Hall of the Mariinsky Theatre.
