Nadezhda Pavlova


Costume Designer

Pavlova was born in St Petersburg and currently lives there. In 1975, she graduated from the Leningrad Vera Mukhina Higher School of Art and Design (Industrial Design). She works in design, advertising, easel graphic works, and art. Pavlova is a member of the Artists Union of Russia. Costume designs for the production of Parsifal (1997) mark Pavlova’s debut at the Mariinsky Theatre. That same year, she designed costumes for the ballet Le Sacre du printemps (choreography by Yevgeny Panfilov). Nadezhda Pavlova frequently takes part in art exhibitions held in St Petersburg. Her works can be found in the Mariinsky Theatre collection, as well as in private collections in Russia, Finland, Germany, the Unites States, Japan, Australia, and China.
