Since 1991 he has worked in television and since 1998 in cinema. Has directed the films The Swallow, Secrets of Thunderstorm, Rostov-Papa, Naked, Diary of a Murderer and Bed Stories.
In 1999 Kirill Serebrennikov was awarded the TEFI National Television Prize. Recipient of the Triumph youth prize (2001), the Stanislavsky Prize (2005) and the Seagull and Crystal Turandot theatre prizes.
