Yekaterina Bondarenko

Yekaterina Bondarenko graduated from the Perm College of Music, having specialised in "choral conducting" (2006, class of Andrei Sinelnikov) and "vocal art" (2007, class of Rimma Yudina). In 2015 she received her diploma from the St Petersburg State Rimsky-Korsakov Conservatoire, where she studied under Elena Oparina. She was subsequently admitted to the Mariinsky Academy of Young Opera Singers.

Has taken part in master-classes conducted by Johannes von Duisburg and Grayr Khanedanian.

At the Opera and Ballet Theatre of the St Petersburg Conservatoire, Yekaterina has performed the roles of Dorabella (Così fan tutte), Rosina and Berta (Il barbiere di Siviglia), Laura (Iolanta) and the title role in Gluck's Orphée et Eurydice. Has taken part in in a co-production with the Conservatorio di Milano of Umberto Giordano's opera Siberia (the role of Nikona).

Repertoire at the Mariinsky Theatre:
Katerina (Not Love Alone),
Anti-Aircraft Gunner (The Dawns Here Are Quiet in concert),
Ilyinichna (And Quiet Flows the Don and Grigory Melikhov in concert),
Yegorovna (Dubrovsky in concert).

Appears in the Academy's chamber concerts and takes part in children's productions at the Prokofiev Hall including An Opera about Porridge, a Cat and Milk, The Turnip, The Brave Hare, The Little Sweep and The Wooden House.

In 2015 Yekaterina performed the role of the Angel in Rubinstein's The Demon at the Vladikavkaz Opera and Ballet Theatre and the solo in Mozart's Requiem at the Small Hall of the St Petersburg Philharmonic.
