Yulia Savrasova


Soprano

• Prize-winner at the Contemporary Art and Education international festival and competition (Moscow, 2006, 1st prize)
• Prize-winner at the Musical Art and Teaching in the 21st century international forum (Veliky Novgorod, 2006, Grand Prix).
• Prize-winner at the II International Competition St Petersburg in the Mirror of World Music (St Petersburg, 2006, 1st prize)
• Prize-winner at the All-Russian Student Vocal Olympics (Yekaterinburg, 2006, Grand Prix)

Born in Murmansk. In 2003 she graduated from the Faculty of Music of the Vladimir State Pedagogical University having studied solo singing (BA). In 2006 she graduated from the Faculty of Music of the Russian State Herzen Pedagogical University in St Petersburg (MA), where she currently teaches solo singing.
Soloist with the Mariinsky Academy of Young Singers since 2003.

Her repertoire at the Mariinsky Theatre includes:
Fair Sister (Shponka and His Aunt)
Contessa di Ceprano (Rigoletto)
Garcias (Don Quichotte in concert)
Countess Almaviva (Le nozze di Figaro)
Klingsor’s Magic Flower Maidens (Parsifal)

She has appeared in concert programmes at the Small Hall of the St Petersburg Academic Shostakovich Philharmonic, concert halls of the Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatoire, the Moscow Union of Composers, the St Petersburg Union of Composers and the St Petersburg Music Hall among other venues.
She took part in master-classes given by Elena Obraztsova in 2006 and 2007.
In December 2009 on receiving an invitation from the University of Northern Iowa (USA) she performed recitals and gave a master class there.
