Born in Kiev. Graduated from the Moscow International Film School and the MKhAT Studio School. Since 2009 he has been a soloist at the Mariinsky Academy of Young Opera Singers. Prize-winner at the III International Pavel Lisitsian Vocalists’ Competition (Vladikavkaz, 2013) and recipient of the 2nd prize at the VI All-Russian Nadezhda Obukhova Young Performers’ Competition (Lipetsk, 2014). Diploma-recipient at the IX International Elena Obraztsova Young Opera Singers’ Competition (St Petersburg, 2013). In 2014 he took 1st prize at the IV International Maxim Mikhailov Young Opera Singers’ Competition. The singer’s repertoire includes the roles of Banco (Verdi’s Macbeth), the Viking Merchant (Rimsky-Korsakov’s Sadko), Méphistophélès (Gounod’s Faust), Fiesco (Verdi’s Simon Boccanegra) and Don Basilio (Rossini’s Il barbiere di Siviglia). Takes part in subscription series programmes of the Academy of Young Opera Singers as well as projects for children (The Boy Giant by Khrennikov). This season he made his debut as Taddeo in a concert performance of Rossini’s L’italiana in Algeri.
