Tsvetana Omeltchuk


Mezzo-soprano

• Prize-winner at the 5th Pavel Lisitsian International Vocal Competition (Vladikavkaz, 2017; 1st prize in chamber category, special prize “For Artistry and Virtuosity”)
• Diploma recipient at the 11th Elena Obraztsova International Competition of Young Opera Singers (St Petersburg, 2017; special prize of the Elena Obraztsova Foundation)
• Diploma recipient at the 6th Georgy Sviridov International Chamber Singing Competition (Kursk, 2017; diploma for the best performance of Sviridov’s romance song to the lyrics by Mikhail Lermontov)

Tsvetana Omeltchuk was born in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk. From 2005 to 2007 she was a violinist with the Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk Chamber Orchestra. From 2013 to 2015 Tsvetana studied at the Gnesin Musical College (class of Aida Gainanova). In 2017 she received her master’s degree at the Gnesin Russian Academy of Music (class of Elena Zelenskaya, People’s Artist of Russia).

From 2015 to 2018 Tsvetana was a soloist with the Astrakhan State Theatre of Opera and Ballet, where she performed the roles of Olga (Eugene Onegin), Polina (The Queen of Spades), Laura (Iolanta), Flora Bervoix (La traviata), a Young Boy (The Legend of the Invisible City of Kitezh and the Maiden Fevroniya), Marina Mnishek (Boris Godunov), Konchakovna (Prince Igor), Lyubasha and Dunyasha (The Tsar’s Bride).

From 2016 to 2023 the artist was a soloist with the Mariinsky Academy of Young Opera Singers. In January 2024 she joined the Mariinsky Opera Company.

Takes part in Mariinsky Theatre productions for children (White Fairy and Red Fairy in Adalmina’s Pearl, the Queen in Kolmanovsky’s Snow White, Musya in Murych the Cat, Nopperapon in The Adventures of Kintaro, the Little Aspen-Tree in The Turnip) and concerts. In 2021 at the Mariinsky Theatre she has sung in the world premiere of Alexei Pozin’s opera Soldier’s Tales, performing the role of the House-Spirit.

Appears at the Grand and Small halls of the St Petersburg Philharmonia.

Since 2023 Tsvetana Omeltchuk has been a guest soloist of the Bolshoi Theatre of Russia; in July of the same year she made her debut in premiere performances of the Bolshoi Theatre’s production of Berlioz’ opera Béatrice et Bénédict, singing the part of Béatrice.
