Dmitry Demidchik

• Prize-winner at the International Stanisław Moniuszko Competition (Minsk, 2002)
• Prize-winner at the International Rimsky-Korsakov Competition (St Petersburg, 2008)
• Prize-winner at the XVIII Festival and Competition of Graduate Vocalists of Higher Music Institutions of Russia (Kazan, 2010)
• Diploma-recipient and special prize winner at the XIV International Tchaikovsky Competition (St Petersburg, 2011)
• Prize-winner at the I All-Russian young vocalists’ competition The Future of Musical Theatre which marked one hundred and ten years since the birth of the composer Vissarion Shebalin (Omsk, 2012)

Born in Borisov (Belarus). In 2003 he graduated from the Ogiński School of Music (Molodechno) having specialised in classical singing (class of G. I. Yurievich).
In 2010 he graduated from the St Petersburg State Rimsky-Korsakov Conservatoire. While still a student at the St Petersburg Conservatoire he took part in master classes given by Vladimir Atlantov, Luciano Pavarotti, Plácido Domingo, Vladimir Chernov, Larisa Gergieva, Elena Obraztsova and Gegam Grigorian.
Soloist with the Mariinsky Academy of Young Singers from 2003.
Has appeared with the Mariinsky Theatre on tour in Ukraine, Finland, France (Théâtre du Châtelet), Spain, the USA (Kennedy Center) and Japan.

Repertoire includes:
Agrippina von Nettesheim (The Fiery Angel), Otello (Otello), Canio (I pagliacci), Pinkerton (Madama Butterfly), Don José (Carmen), Dick Johnson (La fanciulla del West), Cavaradossi (Tosca), Federico (L’arlesiana), Sadko (Sadko), Hermann (The Queen of Spades), Calaf (Turandot), Des Grieux (Manon Lescaut) and Radames (Aida).
