Prize-winner at the All-Russian Musorgsky Competition (1989).
Irina Loskutova studied music at the Sverdlovsk State Musorgsky Conservatoire (class of L. Krasnopolskaya). In 1989, after graduating from the Conservatoire, she was invited to join the Leningrad Academic Maly Theatre of Opera and Ballet (now the Mikhailovsky Theatre), where she made her debut as Liza (The Queen of Spades). Since 1995 Irina Loskutova has been a Mariinsky Opera Company soloist. She made her debut in the premiere performance of Katerina Ismailova (as Katerina Lvovna).

Together with the Mariinsky Opera Company, Irina Loskutova has toured to Finland, Korea, Germany, Portugal, France, Spain, Luxemburg, Belgium, Italy, Sweden and Japan.
