Oleg Kinyaev

Organ

Oleg Kinyaev studied at the Mikhail Glinka Choral School of the St Petersburg State Academic Capella and the St Petersburg State Rimsky-Korsakov Conservatoire as a pianist (class of Professor D.A. Svetozarov and senior lecturer L.Ya. Vagin) and an organist (class of Professor N.I. Oksetian). He has studied organ under Joachim Kunze (Hamburg) and taken master classes from Professor André Isoir (Paris). In 1986, following his victory at the All-Union Competition, he was invited to the post of Principal Organist of the Kharkov House of Chamber and Organ Music, subsequently working as an organist and leader at the St Petersburg State Academic Capella. As an organist, he has toured to towns throughout Russia and abroad and has produced five CDs. Currently, he teaches organ at the St Petersburg State University and at the Glinka Choral School, as well as being the organist and organ master at the Concert Hall of the Mariinsky Theatre.
