• Prize-winner at the Golden Harp International Vocalists´ Competition (Belgrade, 1973)

Graduated from the Leningrad State Rimsky-Korsakov Conservatoire, specialising in piano (class of Professor Serebryakov) and vocalism (class of Professor Kovaleva). With The Mariinsky Theatre since 1974. Has performed in over fifty productions, singing lyric and coloratura soprano roles in both classical and contemporary operas.

Mrs Hopkins, Lady Boxington, 1st Maid (My Fair Lady).

Has toured independently and with the Mariinsky Opera Company both in Russia and abroad. As a guest soloist she has performed the roles of Iolanta (Iolanta) and Marguerite (Faust) at the Bolshoi Theatre and Rusalka (Dargomyzhsky´s Rusalka) at the New Opera (Moscow). Has performed programmes at the Small Hall of the St Petersburg Philharmonic and the Hall of the House of Composers, where she has sung new and rarely performed works from the past and the present.

Has worked on screen adaptations of classical and contemporary operettas including Rossini´s L´inganno felice and Donizetti´s Il campanello di notte and Rita, ou le mari battu, Strauss´ Die Fledermaus, Rimsky-Korsakov´s Kashchei the Immortal and Sviridov´s Beyond the Nevsky Gate. Has made several records and CDs.

Has given solo singing classes at the Leningrad (St Petersburg) State Rimsky-Korsakov Conservatoire since 1988.
