Yevgeny Akhmedov


Tenor

• Prize-winner at the III International Pavel Lisitsian Competition (Vladikavkaz, 2013, 1st prize)
• Diploma recipient at the XV International Tchaikovsky Competition (St. Рetersburg, 2015)

Trained at the Rimsky-Korsakov Saint Petersburg Conservatory under Olga Kondina. Since 2011 he has been a soloist for the Mikhailovsky Theatre where he has sung Lensky (Eugene Onegin), the Novice (Billy Budd), the  Steersman (Der fliegende Holländer), Lykov (The Tsar’s Bride), and Nemorino (L’Elisir d’amore). He was nominated for a Golden Mask National Theatre Award for Best Male Singer, Opera (2014) for his role as Lensky in Andriy Zholdak's production.

In 2014, he made his debut at the Mariinsky, appearing as Lensky in the premiere of a new production of Eugene Onegin.

Since 2015 he has been a member of the Mariinsky Opera.
During the 2016/17 season he was a fellow at Atkins Young Artists Program in Mariinsky.
