Igor Nezhny and Tatiana Tulubeva


Honoured Artists of Russia.

Graduated from the Studio School of the Moscow Artistic Academic Theatre (MKhAT) in 1970. They have worked with music theatres in Novosibirsk, Perm, Krasnoyarsk, Khabarovsk, Sverdlovsk, Leningrad, Odessa, Minsk and Sofia. They have designed over one hundred productions including operas, ballets and operettas.
Members of the Union of Russian Artists since 1972. Tatiana Tulubeva and Igor Nezhny design all productions of the Russian Ballet theatre.
In 1995 they created the sets and costumes for Piazzolla´s ballet The Last Tango with choreography by Gordeyev for the Bolshoi Theatre, after which they were awarded cultural prizes by the Moscow City Government.
Tatiana and Igor regularly take part in exhibitions in Moscow and throughout Russia. Their works are in the collections of many museums in Russia, including the State Bakhrushin Central Theatre Museum in Moscow, Tchaikovsky Museums in Klin and Votkinsk, and in private collections in Russia and Italy.
Since 1996 they have been principal designers with the Helikon Opera, where they have worked on over twenty-five productions.
