Oxana Zinchenko is a Costume Designer at the Lviv National Academic Solomiya Krushelnytska Opera and Ballet Theatre. In 1963 she graduated from the Lviv Institute of Applied and Decorative Art (class of teachers Roman Selsky and Ivan Skobalo). From 1968-1991 she worked as a production designer at the opera studio of the Lviv State Conservatory. Since 1990 she has worked at the Lviv National Opera. She has worked on productions including Aida, Nabucco, Un ballo in maschera, Taras Bulba, Moses, Die Lustige Witwe, Orfeo ed Euridice, Die Zauberflöte and Carmen. Has also collaborated with the Bolshoi Theatre of Belarus, the Donetsk Opera and Ballet Theatre and the National Opera of Ukraine. Based on sketches by Yevgeny Lysyk, she produced costumes for a production of the opera Lohengrin at the Mariinsky Theatre (1999).
Honoured Artist of Ukraine (2008) and recipient of the Anatoly Shekera Prize (2015).
