The ballet company on tour in Denmark

From 13 to 19 January the Mariinsky Ballet will be performing at the Royal Opera House in Copenhagen with the Royal Danish Orchestra, the oldest such ensemble in the world, which can trace its roots back to 1448.

Danish audiences will have the opportunity to see St Petersburg ballet’s “calling card” – Swan Lake. The lead roles in the ballet will be performed by Oxana Skorik and Yevgeny Ivanchenko (13 January), Yekaterina Kondaurova and Danila Korsuntsev (14 January), Anastasia Matvienko and Yevgeny Ivanchenko (15 January) and Ulyana Lopatkina and Danila Korsuntsev (16 January). The tour programme also features an evening of one-act ballets by Michel Fokine including Chopiniana, The Firebird with Yekaterina Kondaurova (17 January), Anastasia Matvienko (18 January), Yulia Stepanova (19 January), Andrei Yermakov (17 and 19 January) and Konstantin Zverev (18 January) in the lead roles and Schéhérazade with Daria Pavlenko and Danila Korsuntsev (17 and 19 January) and Yekaterina Kondaurova and Andrei Yermakov (18 January).
