Canadian/Ukranian soprano Anna Shafajinskaia gained international recognition when she was invited to appear as Tosca opposite Luciano Pavarotti, as a result of her winning the 5th Luciano Pavarotti International Voice Competition; Winner of 14 National & International Vocal Competitions. The winner of the Best Debut Artist Award at NYCO. Nominated for Maria Callas Award in Dallas.

Anna graduated The Gnesin´s Academy of Music in Moscow, Russia.

Anna Shafajinskaia has emerged as one of the most important young dramatic soprano of our time. Her debut in "TURANDOT" with WNO was called "A sensation" (Rodney Milnes "The Times", "Opera") and her Princess Turandot at the Royal Opera House Covent Garden, being praised as "reminiscent of Callas" (Matthew Connolly "The Times") "She sings with great assurance and truly imperious quality that few achieve" ("Opera" magazine, London/UK)
