Panorama of the Theatre Square

The panorama of Theatre Square where the Mariinsky Theatre is located. Opposite the theatre is the St Petersburg Conservatoire, and in the distance the cupolas of St Nicholas’ Naval Cathedral can be seen.

The five-tiered auditorium of the Mariinsky Theatre has survived almost unchanged since the completion of building work in 1860.
