About the performers

The Barocco-Jazz Quartet was established by musicians from St Petersburg in 2015. The repertoire's ensemble includes original arrangements of works from the baroque era for solo violin and jazz trio (piano, double bass and percussion instruments). The ensemble features Sergei Filchenko (violin), a prize-winner at international competitions and soloist of the Pratum Integrum orchestra, Alexei Filimonov (piano), Grigory Voskoboinik (double bass) and Gary Bagdasaryan (percussion). The ensemble made its debut performance in 2015 at the December Evenings international music festival at the State Pushkin Museum of Fine Arts. The musicians have also given concerts at the St Petersburg State Philharmonic and the State Hermitage.
