About the performers

The Arco ARTico string quartet forms part of the Arco ARTico string ensemble which was founded in 2012 from members of the symphony orchestra Symphonica ARTica of the State Philharmonic of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia).
The quartet’s members are graduates of the Vasily Bosikov Higher School of Music of the Republic of Sakha and prize-winners at All-Russian and international competitions.
The founder and director of the Arco ARTico ensemble is Andrei Dedyukin, a violist and teacher at the Higher School of Music of the Republic of Sakha. In October 2013 the ensemble performed in the Shchedrin Hall of the Mariinsky Theatre and won the Terem Crossover international music competition in St Petersburg.
The ensemble works with special music and comprehensive schools, frequently performs concerts and is involved in educational and charitable activities.
