works by Alexander Borodin, Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov, Vissarion Shebalin, Yevgeny Dreizin, Irina Denisova, Alexaandra Pakhmutova, Oleg Khromushin, Benjamin Britten, George Gershwin, Eduardo Di Capua, José Fernandes Dias, Michael Jackson, Cuban and Russian folk songs and international hits from World Choir Games festival programmes.
The Children’s Chorus of the Krasnodar Interschool Aesthetic Centre has won prizes at international choral competitions in Germany, Austria and China. It also took the Silver Medal at the World Choir Games in the USA and participated in the Opening and Closing Ceremonies of the Winter Olympics and Paralympics in Sochi. The Children’s Chorus of the Krasnodar Interschool Aesthetic Centre forms part of the Children’s Chorus of Russia directed by Valery Gergiev.
The ensemble also represented Russia at the World Choir Games in Latvia in July 2014 and took part in the Flag Transference Ceremony of the World Choir Games from Latvia to Russia. The children’s chorus amply met with this demanding task, winning prizes and thanks from the organisers “for the finest musical representation of contemporary choral culture at the symposium of the World Choir Council.
