Soirèe of the Mariinsky Theatre Cello Ensemble

The Mariinsky Theatre Cello Ensemble was formed very recently on the initiative of Valery Gergiev, Artistic and General Director of the Mariinsky Theatre, and Honoured Artist of Russia Oleg Sendetsky, leader of the Mariinsky Theatre cello section and acclaimed chamber music performer. The ensemble is made up of members of the Theatre´s Orchestra – wonderful young musicians, all of whom have vast experience of performing chamber music.
This evening presents the audience with the opportunity to become acquainted with the ensemble and its spirited and varied repertoire, this being the ensemble´s first solo concert.
