The Speaking Book charity project is run by the Public Charitable Movement Golden Pelican - North-West and its aim is the establishment of specialised audio libraries in social institutions throughout Russia for blind and partially-sighted children, children receiving lengthy medical treatment and severely ill and elderly people. The Artistic Director of the project is Ivan Ivanovich Krasko, People's Artist of Russia and Cavalier of the Order of the Golden Pelican.
