Today, 21 December, sees the launch of the International Piano Festival – a traditional winter marathon of the piano featuring the world's greatest instrumentalists. The festival opens with the 2019 Tchaikovsky Competition victor Alexandre Kantorow, Valery Gergiev conducting the Mariinsky Orchestra.
The online broadcast of the concert may be seen at 20.00 Moscow Time on the site mariinsky.tv, the YouTube channel MariinskyRu and the Mariinsky Theatre's official account on the site VK.
