Tickets for events in February at the Mariinsky Theatre are now on sale

In February the Mariinsky Theatre will be presenting several premieres. The theatrical concert German Tales and the musical production Loskutok and the Cloud are targeted at younger audiences. Information about this new opera production will be announced soon.

In February, under the baton of Valery Gergiev there will be the opportunity to see performances of recent Mariinsky Theatre premieres: Debussy’s opera Pelléas et Mélisande, Vladimir Varnava’s ballet Daphnis et Chloé to music by Ravel and Wagner’s triumphant stage mystery Parsifal, which returned to the repertoire in the 2018-19 season.

Ballet performances in February are to include the audience-favourites Don Quixote, Swan Lake, Giselle and The Sleeping Beauty. One classic of 20th century Leningrad ballet will come with a rare “visitor” and one of the most highly anticipated productions of the season – Leonid Yakobson’s Spartacus – and Yuri Grigorovich’s The Legend of Love.

The Mariinsky Theatre will be visited by a tour of the Orchestre National de Lyon and the Orchestra of the China National Opera and Dance Drama Theater.

For the week of Maslenitsa (Shrovetide), from 25 February until 1 March, the Mariinsky Theatre will be hosting the traditional choral festival Maslenitsa in Song.
